Military Specification Fastener Database

Years ago I recognized that the use of fasteners in CAD design on the SVMF/NBL contract was disorganized, inconsistent and burdensome. Every user was creating their own fasteners with inconsistent geometry, parameters and naming conventions which made it very difficult to navigate the fastener model selection process. I designed a website based on Mil-Spec fasteners that fixed this problem. Users can access standardized 3D CAD models using an easy to use web interface to choose fastener type, thread size and length. To add a fastener to an assembly you can drag-and-drop the desired fastener directly from the web page to Creo and each fastener is modeled with component interfaces for easy assembly placement.
